I hope you enjoy this page of my blog! It will hopefully show all the stages of the building my "tiny cabin" where I will be spending more and more of my time in the coming months & (and hopefully)coming years!! ☺
It is going to NOT be fancy! We're planning on using as much repurposed resources as is possible! My first step is clearing the spot for the cabin. Next will be gathering all the wood, door, windows, plumbing, etc for the project.
Then, to use the "royal we", my son-in-law, Cary, and myself....We will put together my "humble" cabin! Once the floor, walls, roof are up (along with the front door) and dried in, I will work on the interior one step at a time! I can handle a lot of the interior job. I might be slower than in years past, but I can still do a lot of the work myself. I just have to pace myself!! LOL!
The first interior work will be the 3 short walls for the bathroom & pantry/utility rooms. The next item will be my daybed/couch. From there...just what I can get done a little bit each day!!
Two things I am saving up for....hot water heater (tiny RV style) and a very small and cute wood stove for heat and cooking in winter! It will also have a patio with a canopy, eventually raised garden beds and flower/herb beds.
Anyway, more on that and other items "of interest" are forth coming!
